After the Maui Wildfires

November 1, 2023 | The HBR held an Economic Forum focusing on the Economic Recovery after the Maui wildfires featuring guest speakers Carl Bonham, UHERO Executive Director and Bruce Yerman, Director of Operations of The Camp Fire Collaborative.  The 2018 Campfire destroyed the town of Paradise and other areas of Butte County, California.  The Campfire Collaborative was formed shortly after the fire to support the recovery effort. After the expenditure of federal and state resources, the Collaborative now works to discover long-term recovery issues and to develop strategies and solutions using the combined vision and resources of the Collaborative. Bruce Yerman provided some perspective for Hawaii as we work together to rebuild the lives of our Maui Ohana. Carl Bonham provided us with an overview of the Economic impact of the devastation and our path to Economic Recovery.  Watch their presentation and hear their answers to questions from our webinar hosts and participants.
